MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Head Coach Daniel Doan and the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's tennis program are pleased to announce the signing of Danny Mayotte for the upcoming 2017 season.
Mayotte, who played his high school tennis at Westerville North High School, was a District Qualifier in 2015 and 2016, compiling a record of 35-15 both of those years playing at the number one spot. He was also named 4th Team All-Conference in 2016.
Head coach Daniel Doan is excited about the addition of Mayotte to this new era in MVNU tennis: "Danny is a great student with a lot of potential in the tennis realm as he will be playing number one for the men's tennis program. Danny plans on Majoring in Sports Management and is excited to be a part of the MVNU community and competing on a collegiate level."
Tennis has made its return to MVNU as a club sport during the 2016-2017 academic year and will move to varsity status beginning in the fall of 2017.
