The MVNU Athletic Department has created a Championship Drive fund to help address the additional costs associated with sending student-athletes to the national tournament stage. Partnerships in this initiative will provide student-athletes who have excelled in their respective sports an opportunity to experience competition on a national level.
As the new Athletic Administration settles into their duties at MVNU, one of the most important tasks is to properly fund current programs and student-athletes. One such way is the creation of a Championship Drive. This initiative will provide individuals and businesses an opportunity to partner with MVNU Athletics by helping address the additional costs of sending a student-athlete to compete at the national tournament level.
"Our student-athletes at MVNU work extremely hard in the classroom and on the field of competition. Many have achieved a high rate of success in both. One of the most amazing experiences a student-athlete can have is competing at a national tournament", said Aaron Quinn - MVNU Athletic Director. "At the college level, your tournament region may extend through several states or even across the country", remarked Quinn.
By partnering in the Championship Drive, individuals and businesses can help cover costs associated with: travel, meals, hotel stays and other necessities outside the regular season.
"At MVNU, we want the student experience to be a special one. Student-athletes that have worked to obtain a national tournament bid should be able to enjoy all aspects of their trip without having to worry about how they will be able to afford it".
