MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Kendra Votaw, a member of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team, was honored by the National Christian College Athletic Association when the NCCAA All-American Teams were announced.
Votaw, a senior middle hitter from Marengo, Ohio, was named to the NCCAA All-American Second Team after being selected as the NCCAA East Region Player of the Year. She finished the season with 350 kills, 102 digs, 54 blocks, and 23 aces. The former Gilead Christian School star wrapped up her career ranked tenth in school history with 1,527 kills to go along with 885 digs and 230 blocks.
In addition to her success on the court, Votaw is also a standout in the classroom with a 3.82 grade point average as a Health and Physical Education major. She was named to both the NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete Teams.
MVNU finished the season with a 14-19 overall record and an 8-10 Crossroads League mark.
