Crossroads League Announces Golf Honors

JACKSON, Mich. — The Crossroads League announced its men's and women's golf honors on Tuesday, May 16 and the Mount Vernon Nazarene University golf programs each had a member receive an honor.

For the men, Brock Dettmer earned honorable mention recognition for his play in 2022-23. The senior from Butler, Ohio was a team leader and is coming off a strong showing in the Crossroads League Golf Championships where he placed 17th with a team-best score of 236.

For the women, Jewel Goins landed herself an honorable mention nod as well. The senior had a solid last season for the Lady Cougars, which was highlighted by a top overall finish at the MVNU Fall Cougar Classic. Goins also turned in a strong performance at the Crossroads League Championships to end the season as she placed 24th with a team-leading score of 243.
