Men’s Volleyball Swept at No. 6 William Penn
OSKALOOSA, Ia. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (8-7) traveled to the Midwest for a match against No. 6 William Penn University (10-5) on Wednesday, March 11.
MVNU was on the road against a top 10 opponent in the nation. The Cougars fell in set one 20-25, before falling in set two 18-25. MVNU was unable to extend the match in the third set, falling 17-25. William Penn hit extremely well in its win with a .419 hitting percentage. MVNU hit .179 in the match.
Despite the loss Ethan Cline had a team-high 12 kills to go with a .417 hitting percentage. Cline also had a team-high seven digs and two blocks. Tommy Tierney had six kills, while Jackson Bush and Noah Wineberg each added five. Jaxon Snell had 19 assists for the Cougars.

MVNU returns home on Saturday, March 14 for a match against the No. 12 Bethel University Pilots. First serve is at 2:00 p.m.
