Men’s Volleyball Falls in Four at (RV) Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (9-12, 6-9 WHAC) played a conference road match at (RV) Indiana Tech University (17-7, 12-3 WHAC) on Wednesday, April 1.

MVNU dropped the first set of the match 20-25 but answered with a 25-17 win in set two.  In that second set, the Cougars hit a match-high .292. The Warriors responded with a 25-17 win of their own in set three. Set four proved to be a close battle throughout. MVNU held a 24-22 late, but the Warriors would rally with four straight points to end the match. Despite the strong effort on the road, MVNU would fall in four sets.

Tommy Tierney led the attack for MVNU with 14 kills. The freshman added four digs, two service aces, and a block. Noah Wineberg hit .529 in the match to go with his 11 kills, five digs, three blocks, and three service aces. Jaxson Snell had 15 assists and five digs. Austin Kolaczkowski also added 15 assists to go with his team-high seven digs.

 

What's Next

MVNU returns to action on Wednesday, April 8 at Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
