Krum, Miller, and Zimmerman Make CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University softball team saw three members named to the CoSIDA Academic NAIA All-District Team on Tuesday, May 26.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The first Lady Cougar to land a spot on the team is Brooklyn Krum. The outfielder played and started 47 games in leftfield and hit .264 to go with 12 RBI, 19 runs scored. The senior from Canton, Ohio also added four steals.

Avery Miller also was named to the All-District team after a solid senior season on the field and in the classroom. Miller, who is from Chillicothe, Ohio, played prominently at third base. Miller hit .360 on the season and had 54 hits, five home runs, 27 RBI, and 21 runs scored.

The last Lady Cougar on the team was Skylar Zimmerman, who played second base. The sophomore from South Webster, Ohio hit a red-hot .430 in 2026. Zimmerman had 71 total hits, five home runs, 50 RBI, 50 runs scored and 14 stolen bases.

To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, position players have competed in at least 90% of team games played OR have started at least 66% of the total number of team games played, pitchers must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher, and a 3.50 or better GPA.
