MVNU Golf Starts Spring Season in Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's golf teams began the spring season in the Midway Eagle Invitational on March 30-31 at the University Club of Kentucky.
The men's team placed 12th overall with a two-round score of 682 (341, 341) and were +106 in the tournament. The women's team placed sixth overall, finishing +97 and 756 (385, 371).
Jack Mayle placed tied for 35th for MVNU, leading the team with a +21 and total of 165. Will Streby tied for 42nd overall with a +23 and total of 167.
For the women, Ryan Satterfield led the way, tying for 19th overall. Satterfield shot +40 and had a total of 184. Mary Weisburn tied for 21st with a +42 and a total score of 186 through two rounds of work.
What's Next
Both the men's and women's teams will next travel to Granger, Indiana where they will play in the Holy Cross Invitational on April 9-10 at the Knollwood Country Club.
