Lady Cougars Claw Past Bears

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — In the last match of the fall season for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's tennis team, the Lady Cougars earned the win over Shawnee State University (5-2) on Wednesday, October 5.

The victory was MVNU's first of the season, and the team will now look to carry the momentum into the spring.

Audrey Cochran and Kiersten Winey took over the court in the first doubles slot by winning their match 6-2. In singles, MVNU shone through with Deah Bresson (5-7, 7-6, 7,6), Andrea Green (6-1, 6-7,10-3), and Sadie Ball (6-3, 6-2) all winning their matches on the day.
