Track & Field has Ten Members Selected to CSC Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University track & field team had 10 student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, June 23.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
The men's team had six earn spots after strong years academically and athletically. Junior Griffin Flusche (shot put), senior Mason Hendrickson (3000m Steeplechase), senior Evan Hodkinson (mid-distance/relay), senior Trent Koning (mid-distance/relay), senior Seth McCloskey (sprints/relay), and senior Tyler Shipley (pole vault) each made the team.
One the women's side, senior Raelyn Barrett (distance), junior Louisa Hallabrin (mid-distance/relay), sophomore Maddy Lengacher (mid-distance/relay/sprints), and sophomore Kate Ruffle (jumps/relay/sprints) were selected.
To qualify for Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a sophomore academically and athletically, must carry a 3.50 or higher grade point average and must have met certain participation and results related requirements in the sports of cross country and track & field.
