Volleyball Closes IU Kokomo Invitational with Two Victories

KOKOMO, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (7-1) competed in the second day of the IU Kokomo Invitational, hosted by Indiana University Kokomo on Saturday, August 26.

The Lady Cougars swept the day with wins over (RV) Saint Xavier University and Indiana East University. MVNU defeated Saint Xavier in four sets by scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, and 25-16. The Lady Cougars then defeated Indiana East in four sets by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 18-25, and 25-13.

What's Next

MVNU plays its home opener on Wednesday, August 30. The Lady Cougars play two matches on the day in the tri-tournament, with the first coming against Georgetown at 4:00pm, followed by Shawnee State at 8:00pm.
