Volleyball Sees Five All-League Honors
JACKSON, Mich. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene's University women's volleyball team had five student-athletes receive All-League honors from the Crossroads League on Tuesday, November 14.
Reagan Nuss earned First-Team All-League recognition as a setter. Nuss had a great season as she compiled 1,255 assists, 96 kills, and 354 digs. The sophomore from Brownstown, Indiana was able to average 10.37 assists per set, .79 kills per set, and 2.93 digs per set.
Lyssi Snouffer earned the honor of First-Team All-League as well as an outside hitter. Snouffer was a force for the front row as she had 1197 total attacks, 438 kills, 58 total blocks, and averaged 3.62 kills per set for the season. The junior from Delaware, Ohio had a great season in the backrow as well as she was able to come away with 351 digs to average 2.90 digs per set.
As a libero, Molly Galaszewski earned First-Team All-Conference honors. Galazsewski was a vital part of Mount Vernon's backrow as she finished the season with 511 digs and 106 assists. The fifth year from Medina, Ohio managed to average 4.22 digs per set and 0.88 assists per set.
Libby Evanshine earned Second-Team All-Conference and made the All-Freshman Team. Evanshine was an attacking force for the team as she finished with 352 kills, 866 total attacks, and 43 total blocks. The freshman from New Vienna, Ohio averaged .37 blocks per set and 3.01 kills per set.
Faith Maloney earned All-Conference Honorable-Mention recognition as a middle hitter. Maloney was able to get off 280 kills, 712 total attacks, and 60 total blocks. The sophomore from South Webster, Ohio averaged 2.33 kills per set while maintaining a hitting percentage of .223.
