Men’s Tennis Competes against Assumption University

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's tennis team finished the final day of the PTR Tennis Fest on Wednesday, March 4 against Assumption University. 

MVNU fell against Assumption 0-7. Noah Hill, Nathan Fitzpatrick, and Blake Boyer competed in their individual matches, which all ended in an Assumption win, 6-0 in both sets. Matt Easter dropped both sets with scores 0-6 and 1-6, and CJ Danemayer fell with scores of 1-6 and 0-6. Ryan Almovodar's individual match ended with another Assumption win of 1-6 and 2-6. 

The Cougars fell in the doubles matches as well. Pairs Easter/Hill and Boyer/Almovodar both had set scores of 0-6 that resulted in Assumption's wins. Danemayer's and Fitzpatrick's match ended 6-1 in favor of Assumption. 

 

What's Next 

The Cougars will return home to the Ramser Tennis Courts on Thursday, March 19 when they host Baldwin Wallace University. The match will start at 3:00 p.m.
