Men’s Volleyball Defeated in Three at (RV) Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (5-3, 2-2 WHAC) suffered a conference loss to (RV) Lourdes University (6-2, 3-1 WHAC) on Tuesday, February 10.

MVNU got off to a slow start on the road, falling behind 2-5 early and eventually 9-17 later on. MVNU was unable to come back, falling 19-25 in set one. MVNU showed a lot of fight in set two and even held a 24-23 lead. Unfortunately, the Cougars would concede the final three points of the set and would fall 24-26. The Gray Wolves would then go on to take set three by a final score of 25-22 to secure the sweep of MVNU.

Tommy Tierney led the Cougars with 10 kills while hitting .250 in the match. He added a team-high eight digs. Jaxson Snell had 17 assists. Ethan Cline, Hayvin Larison, and Noah Wineberg each added two blocks.

MVNU hosts Cornerstone University on Friday, February 13 in Ariel Arena at 7:00 p.m.
