Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Rochester Christian in Dominant Fashion
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (7-3, 4-2 WHAC) secured an impressive road sweep at Rochester Christian University (0-10, 0-6 WHAC) on Friday, February 20.
MVNU got off to a fast start and took set one by a commanding score of 25-12. MVNU hit .333 in the set and held Rochester to just -.036 at the net. The Cougars did not let up on the hosts, cruising to another decisive 25-12 win. Up 2-0 now, MVNU put the finishing touches on its dominant performance, winning set three by a final score of 25-13.
MVNU hit .270 in the sweep and had 34 total kills. Hayvin Larison led the way for the Cougars with a match-high nine kills (.667 hit percentage) and four blocks. Ethan Cline had six kills and a match-high six blocks to go with four digs. Cline hit .750 in the match. Jaxson Snell and Austin Kolaczkowski each had 11 assists. Elisha Thao led all players with 11 digs. Tommy Tierney added six service aces.

The Cougars will face off against No. 6 Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Michigan on Saturday, February 21. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
