Women’s Tennis Battles against Clark University

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's tennis team competed against Clark University on the last day of the PTR Tennis Fest on Wednesday, March 4. 

Annie Mahek had a strong performance, taking her match to three sets, which ended in her favor with scores of 1-6, 7-5, and 11-9. Andi Green won her match, which also went to three sets with scores of 6-2, 4-6, and 11-9. Alanna Reyes came away with an individual match win in two sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Deah Bresson fell 3-6 and 2-6, and Maria Cottenden fell 1-6 and 0-6. 

The Lady Cougars could not capitalize in the doubles matchups. Bresson/Mahek and Green/Reyes both dropped their sets 2-6, which would allow Clark to win 4-3. 

 

What's Next 

The Lady Cougars will next host Grace College on Saturday, March 21 at Ramser Tennis Courts.
